Join the Capital Brewery Bike Club for an electrifying celebration at our E-Bike EXPO, Meet-Up, and Group ride. Come along to the heart of Middleton, Wisconsin, on June 1, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, hosted at the iconic Capital Brewery.
This vibrant event is your ultimate gateway to the world of electric bikes, whether you’re a seasoned E-bike enthusiast or just curious about starting, or just love bikes of all kinds. Bring your bike and share with others and explore a dynamic marketplace with the latest bike models, styles, and brands. Experience firsthand the thrill of E-bikes with demo rides available throughout the afternoon.
What to Expect:
  • Showcase Your E-Bike: Bring your e-bike and share your experiences with fellow enthusiasts.
  • Learn and Connect: Meet and mingle with both new and veteran riders, gather insights, and share ride routes, tips and stories.
  • Explore New Models and Meet Vendors: See and test a diverse range of E-bikes and maybe find your next ride!
  • Signup for a Charity Ride: A great opportunity to show your support!
The goal of our Expo is to foster a community spirit, enhance knowledge about E-bikes, and provide a fun, inclusive setting where everyone can appreciate the joys of electric biking. Begin the afternoon with a group ride in the iconic Middleton Pheasant Branch Conservancy – meet at the Beer Garden at 1 PM. Bike racks are available, electric outlets and if you ride signed waivers will be required for non-Capital Brewery Bike Club members.– YOU MUST WEAR A HELMET!
Don’t miss this chance to dive into the E-bike world during Bike Week.
The event is free and open to the Public. You must be 21 or over, or with a Parent or Guardian to enter the Beer Garden.

Middleton Momentum: Current Projects, Future Plans (a Community Bike Ride!)
Hosted by Middleton Pedestrian/Bicycle/Transit Committee and other city officials and Stone Horse Green
Join Mayor Emily Kuhn, members of the city’s Pedestrian/Bicycle/Transit Committee, and other Middleton officials for a slow-paced bike ride around the community. There will be 3-4 short stops to discuss specific projects that are underway as well as future opportunities for improving bicyclist and pedestrian safety in the Good Neighbor City. After the ride, provide feedback to city officials on issues that should be addressed in Middleton's first "Active Transportation Plan."
Starting and ending in Downtown Middleton's new Stone Horse Green, over 80% of the route will follow paved paths or marked bike lanes. All ages welcome! Anticipate a ride length around 5 miles and a return to SHG between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m.

Ride with the Mayor

Join Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway, city staff, elected officials, and Madison Bikes board members in officially kicking off Madison Bike Week with a press conference. This is an opportunity to consider how important bicycling is to our city, celebrate the accomplishments we’ve made in improving bicycling, and take a look at challenges we still need to overcome. Many changes have happened in the last year, and more are planned.
If the Mayor’s schedule allows, we will take a quick ride around downtown.

E Mifflin Bike Blvd Public Meeting

On June 3, join me, Alder Marsha Rummel, and Traffic Engineering staff for a discussion on potential improvements to the E Mifflin St. Bike Boulevard at a Virtual Public Input Meeting. The City of Madison is looking at making additional safety and other improvements along the E. Mifflin St. Bike Boulevard to enhance biking and walking along this corridor. The public is invited to come learn more about potential improvements, offer input into what would help improve the corridor and ask questions. Celebrate Wisconsin Bike Week 2024 with a pit stop at the Velo UnderRound, the confluence of the Badger State and Capital City State Trails and the Southwest, Cannonball, and Military Ridge Paths!

Your hosts are Bike Fitchburg, the City of Fitchburg, and the Fitchburg Chamber Visitors + Business Bureau. Enjoy bagels and coffee, pick up Fitchburg and Dane County bicycle maps, and get minor mechanical adjustments. Learn more about Bike Fitchburg and our local advocacy for everyone who rides or walks.

The Velo UnderRound is a two-level interchange among five regional trails, serving Fitchburg, Madison, Verona, and locations throughout Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Water, rest rooms, air pump, and repair stand with tools are nearby at Fitchburg's Dawley Bike Hub. Epic mountain biking is adjacent at the Dane County Seminole Mountain Bike Park and just south on the Military Ridge State Trail at Fitchburg's Quarry Ridge Recreation Area.

ROW, RIDE, REPEAT: Explore Badger Rowing Home- The Porter Boathouse during Madison Bike Week
Hosted by Badger Men's Rowing and Badger Women's Rowing
Join us on Madison Bike Week's exciting stop at the Badger Rowing Porter Boathouse! Located at 680 Babcock Drive in Madison Wisconsin, this stop ensures a fun-filled celebration of Bike Week right along the picturesque Lake Mendota. As you pedal along the Lakeshore path, make sure to drop by our "refuel stop", the University of Wisconsin's Rowing Team Home. Meet and mingle with some of the rowing team members and staff as you refuel with a fee bagel and coffee. Grab a Madison bike map to explore more of the area, and don't miss the chance to participate in a rowing dry land training exercise -The Rowing ERG. Take a tour of the boathouse, check out the boat bays and the Boathouse as you soak in the vibrant atmosphere of this unique stop during Bike Week. Join us for a memorable experience by the lake as we combine biking and on-land rowing for a day of fitness and fun.

UPDATE June 4: The event has been cancelled because of the high risk of severe weather.
Join Madison BCycle for a ribbon cutting ceremony and Family Transportation Carnival, at their newest station - Warner Park at the Mallards Stadium! 
When: Tuesday, June 4th from 4:30-6:30pm
Where: Mallards Stadium, BCycle Station
What: Join Madison BCycle, the City of Madison, the Mallards and other local businesses as we celebrate BCycle's newest station on the North Side. At 4:30pm Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway will commemorate the station with a few words and a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Immediately following the ribbon cutting join us for a Family Transportation Carnival! There will be food, drinks and prizes. Bring the whole family!
  •  Learn how to use the BCycle stations and demo a BCycle e-bike
  • Trek will be bringing some e-bikes and kids bikes to demo
  •  Join the Madison Police Department’s CORE team at the kid’s bike rodeo
  • WI Bike Fed will be leading a kid’s bike parade around Warner Park
  • DreamBikes will be onsite for bike repair and tune up
  • UW Health Safe Kids Madison Area Coalition – helmet fitting and giveaways

Have you always wanted to learn how to ride a bike? Do you want to brush up on your two-wheel skills? This is the class for you. Taught by an accredited instructor, participants are encouraged to come with little or no experience.
We provide small class settings that allow people to learn more comfortably on a bike and build the competence needed for riding on their own -- there is no required knowledge or fitness base, everyone is  welcome as they are!

Take an approximate three hour tour through some recently completed projects, and planned projects led by City of Madison engineers.  Traffic signal operations and street geometry will be the focus as we stop to discuss the following projects.

Family Cycling Show & Share // Learn to Ride
Hosted by The Cargo Bike Shop and Tenney Preschool & Childcare
Join us for some family cycling fun!

Our hosts at Tenney Preschool have generously let us use their parking area for two great bike week activities.

Show and Share: the perfect place for sharing and gaining knowledge on all things family cycling. For those of you already family cycling we encourage you to bring your setups - bikes with seats, trailers, cargo bikes, trikes, etc. - and share your experiences. For those of you just starting or looking to start we encourage you to bring all your questions and be ready to learn. For all we encourage you to come ready to make great family cycling connections!

Learn to Ride: we will have a few "learn to ride" slots available for kiddos looking to join the cycling family. Look for an link to sign up for a slot here soon! Join the Wisconsin Bike Fed's Safe Routes to School team, MadTown BMX, DreamBikes, and Bike Parks For Kids to shred into the first day of summer with a Party at the Pump Track!
If you've never been to the pump track before, come out and learn to ride it! If you're an experienced pump tracker, come learn some advanced skills from MadTown BMX! DreamBikes will have bikes available to test ride and will be offering free bike repairs. Bring out your bike and get it tuned up, ready for the summer. We'll have snacks to stay fueled to shred!
We will be at the Aldo Leopold Park Pump Track between 11am - 3pm having a blast!
